Jammu and Kashmir to hold Phase 1 of Lok Sabha elections on April 18th. Six constituencies going to polls: Baramulla, Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Srinagar and Anantnag. Polling to start at 7am and end at 6pm. Total of 1,364 polling stations set up, including 84 accessible to Persons with Disabilities. High security arrangements in place, with deployment of central paramilitary forces and state police. Key candidates include Farooq Abdullah (NC), Jitendra Singh (BJP), and Mehbooba Mufti (PDP).
